KinoEar is an artistic collaboration between myself and Israeli musician and composer, Ma’ayan Tsadka. The collaboration explores the visual and sonic potential of places realized in site-specific soundfilms, where the topography, architecture, found objects, and natural soundscape dictates the form of sonic and visual compositions. Our work presents a unification of sound and image atypical in traditional cinema: we aim to break the hierarchy between the two. Our project recognizes the intersection of these two elements while also being a means through which people can perceive both familiar and lesser-known spaces in different ways.
