Gallery Mezo Closing Event |
27 August 2026

|
Gallery Mezo opened in Haifa in 2021 by friends and artists: Gal Amoyal, Omri Geiger, Yocheved Ohayon, Tal Rabinovich, Yarden Diskin and Nadav Penn. It went through a few iterations in it's time, closing with Yael Sady and Yaniv Shonfeld at the helm.
I participated in and facilitated several events there over the 5 years it was open: from the 24-hour long harmonium performance by Klaus Lang to Randy Miller and Otherscapes performances. Thank you Mezo, for 5 years of art and conversations and community. A home to gather and experiment. It's always been a welcome space to put our dreams into practice: a 24-hour durational performance , drag, workshops, screenings. I'll miss it. I look forward to the new spaces and ways in which we'll meet. an article about the gallery closing here |

Several years ago, my friend and exceptional violinist, Yael Barolsky, invited some folks to improvise together in the desert crater in Mitspe Ramon. The day-long event gained a following and became a bit of a tradition over the years within some of the experimental improvisers. I'm excited to take part in this reunion in the desert once more.
