Ensemble Ptilia (2022-2025) an experimental ensemble of musicians and visual artists exploring the outcomes that exist within liminal spaces – the in-between – through interdisciplinary collaboration and time-based (durational) events. A primary focus in our practice centers on deep listening, which is influenced by the works of Pauline Oliveros. We imagine original site-specific works that converse with the locations in which we perform, in an effort to increase both our attention and that of our audience to our immediate and everyday surroundings and to encourage listening which is open, calm, present, and patient.
