Birthday Concert for Amnon Wolman

Weekend celebrating 70 years of creativity by composer and sound artist Amnon Wolman
Concert by Ensemble Musica Nova, dedicated to the rich oeuvre of composer Amnon Wolman. The concert will present a fascinating mosaic from Wolman’s creative world, including a wide range of styles: from acoustic works for solo, duo, and ensemble, through improvisations and a performance by the “Holon Scratch Orchestra,” electro-acoustic pieces, and imagined sound works. The highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of a new large-scale composition written especially for this concert. Thresholds is a concert which explores the various meanings of the word through original audio-visual performance scores. Where does one sound end and another begin? What is being transformed when you cross a boundary? How does our sound and our listening change when we move through spaces? Join us for an evening of experiments, as we traverse the borders of the venue, our instruments and voice.

World-Building and Collective Voice is a writing workshop by Dani Williamson in which we collectively explore the vast worlds made possible from our immediate senses.
How does our environment shape our narratives? How do our stories change when they are observed by others? And in what ways can we use those stories as a means to call forward our own futures? Together, we will create new texts influenced by our surroundings; texts which bend and change when we introduce different elements and situations to the same core ideas. Please bring 1-3 objects from your home. Something small which you can fit in your hand. It can be sentimental or mundane, but something that might inspire a journey to somewhere new. Screening of Ra'ash Adama at Issue Project Room

The video composition 'Ra'ash Adama' by composer Maayan Tsadka, which I filmed and edited in 2021 will be screened again at Issue Project Room in New York!
These works originally premiered online and were experienced in disparate home screen and sound system arrangements. Now, ISSUE and Anthology join forces for two evenings to present the works back-to-back in a cinematic environment, showcasing the varied compositional structures, cinematic orientations, and unique approaches to the “audiovisual” demands of our current age. Breath Cycles Workshops in Shaon Horef

Our Ensemble Ptilia is hosting two listening workshops in Jerusalem as part of the Shaon Horef event series.
"Breath Cycles" is a workshop open to the public under the guidance of Ensemble Pitilia, in which we invite the public to meet to learn about the practices of Deep Listening and Sonic Meditations created by the composer Pauline Oliveros, and explore internal and external modes of listening, from the physical space and our consciousness as well as within the environment that surrounds us.
